Jonathan Hall is a Martindale Hubbell AV-rated lawyer whose practice areas include insurance defense litigation, commercial litigation, products liability defense, premises liability, insurance coverage disputes, contracts and general liability litigation. He also represents both businesses and employees in matters of employment contracts and non-compete agreements, and has experience in defending clients against claims of legal and medical malpractice.
Mr. Hall has tried lawsuits to verdicts in counties across the state. He has argued before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. In addition to trial work, Mr. Hall has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution. He has lectured on topics of trial evidence and personal injury litigation. He also presents seminars for out-of-state insurance and self-insured corporate clients on various topics related to claims handling and litigation in North Carolina.
Mr. Hall received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was named to the All-Academic Atlantic Coast Conference football team. He obtained his law degree from Wake Forest University.
He is a member of the litigation section of the North Carolina Bar Association and also a member of the Wake County Bar Association, the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, and the Defense Research Institute. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in North Carolina.
The fifth of seven children, Jon is a native of Vienna, Virginia. He has been recognized on several occasions for his volunteer work in youth sports in and around the Raleigh and Cary areas, and loves to spend time working summer football camps. His wife, Jill, is a pharmacist. Their time is occupied by trying to keep up with the academic and sports schedules of three very active children.
